Itinerary

Day 1

Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport you will be met, assisted with immigration and customs formalities and then transferred to your selected hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 2(B, L, D)

Breakfast is at the hotel. Meet your English speaking tour guide and start your day in a private air conditioned bus by Turning back and heading back up to the front of the Al-Azhar Mosque, we can head north a short distance and we will arrive at Midan Hussein This was the centre of medieval Cairo and today remains an important area for some Islamic religious festivals.

The ‘knowing’ traveller sometimes dismisses the Khan el-Khalili as a tourist trap, Step into this world by heading west Muski street from Midan Hussein. Where Muski street crosses al-Muizz li-Din Allah street, two mosques sit opposite each other on either side of Muski. The southern one is the Mosque of al-Ashraf Barsbey (also known as the Ashrafiya Medersa) , which is a complex consisting of a mosque-medersa, a mausoleum and sabil-kuttab, while the northern one is the Mosque of al-Mutahhar built by Abd el-Rahman Katkhuda. The Mosque of al-Mutahhar has a wonderful marble covered floor. Al-Muizz li-Din Allah Street was the main street of medieval Cairo and open Museum .

Lunch during tour in local restaurant , spend the afternoon the Museum of Islamic Arts is one of the finest museums in the city. The museum’s extensive collection of over 10,000 pieces includes mainly Egyptian art, but there are pieces from elsewhere in the Islamic world as well.
Arranged according to medium, the exhibits illustrate every era of development, from Ummayad to Abbasid, Fatimid, Ayyubid, and Mamluk works. The artworks include woodwork, stucco, intarsia, ceramics, glass, metalwork, textiles, and carpets.

Day 3(B, L, D)

Breakfast is at the hotel. Meet your English speaking tour guide and start your day in a private air conditioned bus by visiting Citadel of Salah El Din, which over looking Cairo from one of the towering tops Al- Muqattam then visit the Alabaster palace and Mohammed Ali Mosque.

Proceed to visit El Refaii Mosque was built in 1911 and holds the tombs of many Egyptian aristocrat families as well as the remains of the last Shah of Iran, who retreated to Cairo after he was removed from power.

Sultan Hassan Mosque was originally raised by the Mamluk Sultan Hassan and was finished in 1363. It sits below the Citadel and next to the much newer Rifaii mosque. It is one of the largest mosques in Egypt and the Arab world. It has been used as a school for four different Islamic Sunni schools of thought. It also has a mausoleum.
Al Emam El Shffa’e mosque , Al Emam El Shffa’e descended from the Hashimi family of the Quraysh tribe and located in Emam El Shffa’e street .

Breakfast at the hotel, checkout and then you will be transferred to the Cairo International Airport for your onward flight.
