The Mosque of al-Mutahhar has a wonderful marble covered floor. Al-Muizz li-Din Allah Street was the main street of medieval Cairo and open Museum .

Sultan Hassan Mosque was originally raised by the Mamluk Sultan Hassan and was finished in 1363. It sits below the Citadel and next to the much newer Rifaii mosque. It is one of the largest mosques in Egypt and the Arab world. It has been used as a school for four different Islamic Sunni schools of thought. It also has a mausoleum.
